Natalie Spencer-ClairNatalie Clair is an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in business, geo-security and development. She worked in international operations, transboundary water policy and infrastructure design in Asia and Africa after which she founded a technology company to map real-time crisis relief resources in United Nations refugee camps. Natalie founded PACE, Navvi®, AirMoby, Google for Entrepreneurs: Jackson, WY, RVL8N®, U.S. Mountain Community Summit and APX1, a cutting-edge community development firm. She studied finance through Harvard Business School HBX, received a Professional Certification in Analysis and Investment from MIT and earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture: Advanced Environmental and Energy Sciences. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Hawaii and speaks Hindi, Arabic and Urdu. Natalie is a professional skier, Wilderness EMT and adventure guide, qualifications she applies to strategy and risk management for corporate development.

As former Chairman, CEO and Co-Founding Partner of Canyon Capital Realty Advisors LLC (CCRA), he oversaw a commercial real estate and mortgage asset portfolio totaling over $12 billion, and was responsible for launching several groundbreaking funds that helped define the “triple bottom line” investment movement. In his years as a social impact innovator, Bobby has dedicated himself to providing sound financial returns for investors while fostering opportunities for the communities in which his funds invest. Bobby resides in L.A. and Sun Valley, Idaho.

Ellen Gustafson

Ellen is the Co-Director of the Summit Institute in Eden, Utah and President of EG, Inc, an impact-focused consulting business. Her first book, “We the Eaters: If We Change Dinner, We Can Change the World” was published in May 2014. She Co-Founded FEED, Food Tank, and the 30 Project campaign. She was featured as an AOL and PBS’s MAKERS, trailblazing women who are “making” America, Fortune Magazine’s 2009 Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs, Inc Magazine’s 2010 30 Under 30, and Diplomatic Courier Magazine’s 2011 “Top 99 Under 33” in Foreign Policy. She's on the Board of the food-tech company Foodstand, serves on the Columbia University Alumni Board of Directors. Ellen worked for the UN World Food Program and ABC News. She speaks around the world on entrepreneurship and food systems. Ellen is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and actively engaged in local and global health, security, and development.

Layne Thompson

APx1 Partner and President of Magleby Construction, Layne brings 15 years of construction management expertise to the table. His past roles include Project Engineer, Estimator, Project Manager, Preconstruction Manager and Principal in Jackson Hole WY, Aspen CO, Sun Valley ID, and Park City UT. Layne’s construction management portfolio includes $500M in mountain resort, commercial and luxury home developments. He’s managed over 100 consultants and contractors. Layne uses ingenuity and collaboration to capture value for his clients by building better, faster and more efficient projects. Upon completing his graduate studies in 2016, Layne played a pivotal role in starting an international VDC/BIM group, StudioMX, which aids in developing virtual models for complex construction projects he leads. Layne received a MBA from Boise State University and a B.S. in Construction Management from Brigham Young University.

 

Scott McGuire

Serial entrepreneur and experienced brand strategist, Scott McGuire has spent decades building and architecting iconic brands in the outdoor industry from small start-ups to turn arounds at industry leaders. He’s been called an iconoclast for his working in advancing a modern outdoor movement via Venture Out at Outdoor Retailer. He is the founder of The Mountain Lab, a brand strategy and business incubation consultancy. He also serves as CEO of Stoke Broker, a bespoke adventure travel creation and design firm. He co-founded Mountain Ventures in 2016 to help foster dialogue around the future of mountain and rural recreation economies. Further to his community commitments, he serves as Board Chair for Mammoth Lakes Tourism, on the Board for Mammoth Lakes Recreation and volunteers as a Fire Fighter / EMT as well as austere medicine educator.

Kristin Williams

Commfluent founder and former Mountain Community Affairs Vice President at Vail Resorts®, Kristin Kenney Williams provides analysis, strategy and planning services for community campaigns, land-use and related acquisitions and divestitures. Currently, she is guiding several workforce housing projects in Colorado and Utah. Kristin was on the project team that sought approvals for the Wintergreen Workforce Housing Community near Keystone and that is expected to provide just over 380 beds and representing a commitment by Vail Resorts to the long-term lease of units. Kristen also helped with Epic Mountain Express approvals to convert Vail Resort’s commercial property to workforce housing. Williams is a graduate of The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She serves on the boards of Habitat for Humanity and the Snowboard Outreach Society. Williams resides in the Vail Valley with her family.

Steev Wilson

AIA, NCARB, LEED AP is the founding Partner of Forum Phi, a multi-disciplinary design firm that has received national recognition for its extensive portfolio of architecture, interior design, and land planning services. Originally from New York, Steev received a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University. As a resident of Aspen, Steev serves on the Basalt Chamber Resort Association, Employee Sustainability Committee for the Aspen Chamber of Commerce, Create Mentorship Aspen Boards, and is a member of the Aspen Institute’s Society of Fellows. Steev is known for his innovative thinking, active client involvement, and action driven dynamic. With an innate desire to determine exactly how things work, he continues to find ways to make the most challenging projects come to fruition. His philosophy marries a balance of design, culture, community, and business. Steev has been recognized as a leader in the design industry by multiple organizations and publications including: 2017 AIA Young Architect of the Year, Colorado Homes & Lifestyles, 2017 Top Five Designers Under 40, and as one of Mountain Living’s 2018 Top Architects and Designers.

Shea Andersen

Vice President Fahlgren Mortine, Shea is a public relations professional with multiple layers of experience and expertise. He is an award-winning journalist who's writing has been published in Newsweek, The Washington Post and Salon as well as the Scripps Howard News Service and Reuters News Service, for whom he was a correspondent. As a public relations professional, Shea specializes in media relations, communications strategy and public affairs. Shea has worked with clients such as the J.R. Simplot Company, Tully’s Coffee, The J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation, The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, Vulcan Real Estate, and the Saint Alphonsus Health System. A native of Oregon, Shea received a bachelor’s degree from The Colorado College and a Master’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon.
